Stornoway
I would do an album of the year list and things like that but I haven't got time to commit to it. I'll just say my favourite album this year though is Beachcomber's Windowsill by Stornoway. A lot won't agree with me and might say its boring or whatever but I like it. And it's not just because they're from Oxford.

Screaming Masterpiece
Screaming Materpiece is the name of a documentary about music from Iceland. I have listened to the soundtrack on numerous occasions but only got round to watching the actual documentary yesterday. Its true that a lot of Icelandic music has a certain sound to it and you've seen Sigúr Rós being used to soundtrack numerous glaciers on the BBC. The film is definitely worth a watch if you are into any Icelandic artist. I've posted a clip from the film below. Its Bjórk live in New York, with the track 'All Is Full Of Love'. Hopefully it'll show people just how amazing she can be, and its not just 'the mad woman who did that sshh song'.

Colours
Right, I'll try and write this so it makes some sense. I was watching a programme last night about how our sense can be deceived by the way something is shown, coloured, sounding etc. It reminded me that I've always wondered the following:
How do you know that the colour you see is the same as the colour I see?
What you know as red, might be what I know as blue, and vice versa. Does that make sense? It probably doesn't as I can't explain what I mean very well. We all know colours by certain names but as indivduals the certain names might relate to different colours. Is that any clearer? No? OK.
Who can I email to ask about this?

Charlie St Cloud
This is the new Zac Efron film. The problem these kind of actors (Efron, Robert Pattinson etc) will have now is that they'll be stuck doing these female friendly crap films for a good few years now as thats the only way they've been marketed (post kids films). All these films seem to be the same and yet they will be bought en masse by all the women. One line from the trailer to this film sort of sums up how bad I think it'll be:
"Every night I play catch with my dead brother"
